Jamaica is expected to benefit from the expanded Panama canal, due to the prospects of significant increase in trading vessel
passing through Jamaican waters. This will afford opportunities for emerging logistics trends. The Port Authority has earmarked
approximately 80 hectares of land conveniently located in close proximity to Kingston Container Terminal (KCT) that are eminently
suitable for providing a wide range of logistics activities for local and offshore markets. The designated area includes existing free
zone sites, adjoining underutilized aerodrome, and unused terminal lands located 27.4km from Norman Manley International Airport
(NMIA).
